Our Teachers


Katy trained in ballet and contemporary at the West Street School, Covent Garden. She studied RAD (Royal Academy of Dancing) and ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Cecchetti Ballet, Modern and Tap. Katy obtained her advanced level exams in all of them. 

She is currently working towards taking her Licentiate exams in Tap and Modern theatre dance.

Her career began working on various cruise lines before touring the U.S.A. and Australia with “Spirit of the Dance”. Her first musical appearance began with the first national tour of “Saturday Night Fever” choreographed by Arlene Phillips. She then went on to work with Craig Revel Horward in “Copacabana”.

Her “West End” debut began with “Chicago” at the Adelphi theatre where she played the role of “Arsenic Annie”. She performed alongside names such as David Hasslehof, Jill Halfpenny, Brooke Shields, Linda Carter, Darius, Michael French, Jennifer Ellison – to name just a few!

She made TV appearances with “Musicality” and the newsreaders for “Children In Need”. She then went on to perform in “Me & My Girl” understudying the role of Lady Jacqueline.

Katy also has many commercial and TV credits including Sky Sports with Jason Gardiner, Mark Owen in concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire, dancing with Louise on ITV’s “Magic of the Movies”, dancing with Chakka Khan & Jamelia on ITV’s “Saturday Night Divas”, hair & fashion shows for Wella, Marks & Spencer, Nike & Baileys and she has even presented her own fitness DVD!

Katy is a fully qualified teacher and has a teaching diploma in ISTD Cecchetti Ballet, Tap and Modern and also RAD. She has taught many children from 3 years of age to full time students on professional dance and acting courses in central London. 



Amie started her training at the age of 3 in ISTD modern and tap and RAD ballet at Busybodies Stage School in Dereham. Over her 13 years at Busybodies Amie took part in many dance festivals, charity events and school shows. Also achieving excellent results for exams in modern, tap, ballet, jazz, singing, drama and musical theatre.   

At the age of 16 Amie continued her training at Masters Performing Arts College in Essex studying various styles of dance including contemporary, jazz, commercial jazz, also musical theatre, acting and singing.

Whilst at college Amie performed in a variety of shows and performances including a music video, Eastenders Children in Need Special 2011 and at Wimbledon for the opening of the Olympic tennis (a Flash Mob).

At the age of 13 Amie became a teaching assistant at busybodies after school and at weekends, helping out with the younger children’s classes. She discovered a love for teaching and whilst at college took the opportunity to gain her ISTD teaching qualification in modern and tap. Amie has taught many children to exam standard all achieving excellent results.

As well as a love for teaching Amie has a love for performing and one day hopes to pursue a career in the performing world, gaining professional experience to pass on to the performers of the future.  


Michelle started her dance training at the Central School of Dance in Norwich. At the age of 11 Michelle gained a place at The Royal Ballet School in Richmond. She continued to further her dance training at the Elmhurst Ballet School in Surrey. It was at Elmhurst where she expanded her dancing knowledge, studying in many forms of dance including; ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz and flamenco. Michelle also included the senior school Musical Theatre course into her learning, which signing covered, microphone technique and drama. Whilst at Elmhurst Ballet School, Michelle obtained her ISTD Associate qualification in both Modern and Tap.

Michelle taught both Modern and Tap at the Judith Palmer School of Dance in Madrid, Spain and choreographed the pantomime. Michelle was also selected to teach at the British Embassy School in Madrid.

Following her time teaching in Spain, Michelle continued to work in the UK summer season, as a principal dancer, singer and choreographer. She then joined the entertainment staff aboard the MS Switzerland cruise ship, travelling all around the Mediterranean and Norway as dancer and singer. Michelle also toured the UK as part of a cabaret troupe where she also developed her choreography skills.

Michelle also has extensive experience teaching at the University of East Anglia Contemporary Dance society and Thorpe St Andrew High school as part of the GCSE dance course. She has also choreographed for Dance Platform at Norwich Playhouse and various performances at the UEA. 

Michelle is delighted to be working with Broadland School of Dance.
